01Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website at belizengos.org and the BNN Member Lounge, operated by the Belize Network of NGOs ("BNN", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using our website or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

02Membership eligibility

Membership in BNN is intended for non-governmental organizations that are registered and in good standing in Belize, subject to our eligibility criteria. Affiliate partnership is available to eligible organizations, institutions, and networks as described on our membership page. Membership applications are reviewed by BNN, and we may approve, decline, suspend, or revoke membership at our discretion.

03Your account

• You are responsible for providing accurate registration information and keeping it up to date.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
• Accounts are for the use of the registered member organization and its authorized representatives.

04Acceptable use

When using our website and the Member Lounge, you agree that you will not:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation, or infringe the rights of others.
• Upload or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, misleading, or harmful.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the website or its security features.
• Use the site to distribute spam, malware, or automated scraping without our permission.
• Misrepresent your affiliation with any organization.

05Member content

You retain ownership of documents, resources, forum posts, and other content you submit ("Member Content"). By submitting Member Content, you grant BNN a non-exclusive licence to host, store, display, and share it as necessary to operate the Member Lounge and further BNN’s civil-society mission.

You are responsible for your Member Content and confirm you have the rights to share it. BNN may remove content that violates these Terms or that we consider inappropriate.

06Intellectual property

The BNN name, logo, website design, and content we provide are owned by or licensed to BNN and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view and download materials made available for that purpose, but you may not otherwise copy, reproduce, or distribute them without our permission, except as permitted by law.

07Third-party links and services

Our website may reference or link to third-party websites and services, including our membership form hosted on Microsoft Forms and resources shared by members. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third parties, and your use of them is at your own risk.

08Disclaimer

The website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Resources and templates are provided for general guidance only and do not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice. We may suspend or terminate your access to the website or Member Lounge, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms or if we consider it necessary to protect BNN, its members, or the integrity of our services. You may stop using the services and request account deletion at any time.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Belize. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the website will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Belize.
